Harald Winkler is a senior researcher at the Energy Research Centre at the University of Cape Town. His research interests lie in energy, environment and climate change. Harald has worked on baselines for CDM projects and served as a member of the Methodology Panel of the Executive Board governing the CDM, and the Standards Advisory Board developing the Gold Standard, and has been a scientific advisor on the SA delegation from 2004.

Harald has been an individual member of SACAN since its inception in 2001.
