SACAN is a membership-based organisation. Membership is open to environmental, development and other citizen-based non-profit organisations and individuals that are active on climate-related issues. Members subscribe to the goals and principles of the international CAN as set out in the CAN Charter. Membership is granted to organisations or individuals who have applied with the support of at least two other existing members, and who then receive the approval of the existing membership. SACAN has 19 organisational and 7 individual members. There are three member types: Interested in joining? Download the SACAN membership application form. The GreenHouse Project currently hosts the SACAN Secretariat. Support extends to areas such as the collection, collation and distribution of relevant information from NGO’s, media and government both locally and internationally and the production of quarterly newsletters.
